You guys can use this app to modify share menu, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andmadesoft.share&hl=en
But it's an abandoned app. Would be wonderful if @Giorgi could build an entirely new app to handle the share menu.
But how will this save memory space?
You will anyway need to install that app to use it to open the file.
Don't see how this can be useful.
This sounds like completely different than what Better open with intends to do.
This is the app you can use to modify the share menu, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andmadesoft.share&hl=en
You mean open the folder with a different file explorer app? This sound impossible to be implemented.
I don't see why this is needed. This will be clearly marked as advertising.

This is same as domain wise and app based exceptions.
Having both domain wise exceptions and this app based will be really great! :)
You could use this app, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.catchingnow.tinyclipboardmanager&hl=en
This is the exact idea I came to suggest . But instead of a notification, I prefer a popup bubble that is draggable. Tapping on this bubble will bring in the Better Open With window with the list of other apps that can open the file.
The bubble should also have a timeout after which it will disappear.
This is a great idea!
Solid explorer and some file manager apps can do this.
Perfect example for this can be to open an image with Chrome browser.
Select open with.
These are the normal options that Better open with shows as of now.
These are the other apps which are displayed when we tap the arrow mark symbol at top right corner.
4. I select Chrome in the list and the browser opens the image.
I use this method to do a search by image on Google.
