allow users to select any installed app.
Some apps may not make it clear that they can open a particular file type. Have a "more apps" option that will let you choose any installed app to associate with that file type.

I'd love to see this option too!
Well Giorgi, I know it's been awhile since this idea was posted and you wrote your comment. But it's still a nice feature, a lot of people want to have.
I know what you mean, only a few apps would be able to open it correctly. But as as an example, the Chrome explorer isn't a text viewer, but it's definitely able to open it.
Anyways, thanks for this nice app and please think about this feature.
Reddit doesn't recognize all the Reddit apps anymore
Please please please please attend to this urgently.
If you want to be the best
YOU MUST ATTEND TO THIS REQUIREMENT.
I use eBay and PayPal application
And many other applications on my tablet and phone.
Your application does not offer to open in thes ani want this ability.
Not only browsers to open with.
This is a important upgrade needed to improve your application.
I agree with this.
I use eBay and when given a link i want it to open with my eBay installed program and not a selected browser.
I have three other programs i want to be able to do same with, and this feature would be of great help.
Hope to see it improved and a included feature.
I desperately need this function. Currently when opening youtube links I can only select 'Youtube' official app. I also use Flytube and Newpipe but they aren't even listed. Thanks, Giorgi!

This is a great idea!
Solid explorer and some file manager apps can do this.
Perfect example for this can be to open an image with Chrome browser.
Select open with.
These are the normal options that Better open with shows as of now.
These are the other apps which are displayed when we tap the arrow mark symbol at top right corner.
4. I select Chrome in the list and the browser opens the image.
I use this method to do a search by image on Google.

This is a great idea. I've had this problem before as well, where I have apps that can open a certain file type, but they don't show up as an option. This would basically be like the "Open with..." option in Windows. It would also take care of https://betteropenwith.uservoice.com/forums/261986-general/suggestions/11361327-add-open-with (a duplicate request) and probably https://betteropenwith.uservoice.com/forums/261986-general/suggestions/6387481-add-phone-apps (also appears to be a similar request).

The most important thing for me would be to allow other programs to be chosen. For example econverter and kindle.

This would be ideal. I have an app where I build lists. I can export, but cannot select the app to open it in. It has a custom extension and the app is not listed.
This is a must in my opinion. For facebook and tapatalk an any other sites/file types you or other devs forgot. But show users a short message that informs them that any apps chosen from the other list might not work.

It does though, because as I said, some things don't "declare" their intents properly. Sometimes other apps can interpret a site as well. I can open a forum in Tapatalk, or Chrome, or any other browsers. Or maybe I want ot open the page in a downloader app, that will just download the site, etc.
This specifically has come up as a problem with Better Open With not letting me choose apps associated with certain sites, similar to facebook. This may be the fault of the app devs, but Better Open With could easily work around it by introducing this option.

Is Facebook not cabable of opening facebook.com links? It does not appear in my list of options.
This does not make much sense because those apps would still not be able to select the file you clicked on.

Is this even possible under Android?
